Panda Goes Global

Although not expected to have the same impact in Europe as in the US and UK, Google’s Panda Update has now expanded around the world in all but several languages. The result is that many websites deemed not as relevant to the Google search algorithm as before the update are now being penalized, while others have been significantly elevated in visibility.

So, content more relevant to users based on search queries, rather than content deemed more “black hat seo” such as engaging in link farms, article directories, content farms, etc. are elevated in visibility.

European language bases websites took the biggest hits, whereas Chinese, Japanese and Korean language sites are still to be affected. Stay tuned as the importance of quality SEO content expands globally!
