According to comScore, Canada has the highest internet penetration rate and Canadians spend more time online than internet users in any other country. On average, Canadians logged an average of 42 hours a month on the internet. Canadians are also huge fans of Facebook and Twitter.
Also, Canadians top the charts when it comes to watching online video. The Canadian Press reports that YouTube per capita consumption of video is No. 1 in the world. Canadian users view more videos than U.S. viewers, around 147 watched each month compared to 100 per U.S. viewer. Canada’s country director for Google, Chris O’Neill, reported, “It's just absolutely crazy in terms of how passionate Canadians are about YouTube.”
