Survey reports that Russia has the most active social media population

ComScore, an internet marketing research company, has reported that Russian internet users are the most active users of social networks. The ComScore survey states that 74.5 percent of all internet users in Russia visited a social network site at least once during August 2010. The average Russian internet user spends about 9.8 hours a month on a social network site.

Israel comes in second place with the average internet user spending 9.2 hours a month on a social network site, such as Facebook.

Turkey takes third place with a very active internet population. The average time per user spent on a social networking site is 7.6 hours a month.
