Malaysia and Brazil see an increase in social media

CNN.com reports that Malaysians and Brazilians have seen an overwhelming increase in social media of the past few years. According to the British research agency TNS, many people are spending more time on social media networking sites than on e-mail.
The TNS study reveals that Malaysians and Brazilians have the most friends on social media networks. On average, Malaysians have 233 friends and Brazilians have 231 friends. Also, research shows that emerging digital markets have exceeded more developed online markets in terms of social networking.
Businesses should consider using social media to target audiences in emerging digital markets such as Brazil and Malaysia. With the growth of the internet, social media continues to be an important part in internet marketing.
